As you get older it is very important to maintain a good level of fitness.  In this article we will show you different ways in which you can keep yourself in good shape.  Apply the following advice on fitness to your every day life, so as you age, you can better adapt to the changes in your body.

Yoga

When trying to get fit, investigate your local Parks & Recreation department or search The Skills Guru for a lists of yoga gurus in your area.  You may be able to find inexpensive aerobics, dance, yoga, strength training, or “boot camp” classes for much less than you would pay at a private company.  You can also find out which parks have hiking or fitness trails and when they’re open.

Hatha yoga practice is an excellent path to fitness.  By performing the Hatha yoga Sun Salutation, anyone can enjoy 15 minutes to half an hour of gentle stretching, deep breathing, and quiet focus every day.  This physical form of yoga relaxes the mind, strengthens and stretches the muscles, and loosens the joints.  Performing the Hatha yoga Sun Salutation first thing in the morning and just before bed will make a big difference in your fitness level!

Don’t become equipment dependent.  Have a complete, equipment free workout designed so that you can workout even on days when you can’t make it to the gym.  Choose exercises that use your own body weight for resistance training, an aerobic routine that consists of such standards as jumping jacks, and yoga for warm up and cool-down stretching.

As was discussed in the beginning of this article, as you age your body will go through many changes.  It is very important to understand that as we age it becomes harder to maintain your fitness level.

Apply the advice from above, and you will live a life with a lot less aches and pains.
